The third Queens Cohort Teachers Unite Meeting will be at a time of constant change and uncertainty in our city, local communities and in our roles at our schools. Their remote meeting will focus on themes of emotional support (students and staff), concise messaging they wish to hear (expectations for staff, support for the young people we serve), and collecting resources.
Teachers Unite members are frontline workers in a changing landscape for the school-to-prison pipeline. At this time of social distancing, they hope you join them as they get creative with how they organize, build power, and advocate for lasting structural change.
If you teach or work in a Queens school, please RSVP and they’ll send you the Zoom link. Students and their families are also invited and encouraged to join—so feel free to pass along the RSVP page to those you know who might be interested!
