Jasmyn Elise Story, an international Restorative Justice Facilitator, Doula, and the founder of The People’s Coalition and Freedom Farm Azul, will host their Fall 2020 training series online.
Introduction to RJ for Inflamed Structural/Inflamed Historical Harm will look how restorative justice can be utilized to address inflamed structural and historical violence.
Participants will learn an abridged history of restorative justice and practices, restorative community building facilitation, active listening, listening to understand harm, brainstorming to meet needs facilitator anti-oppressive considerations.
Participants will understand how restorative justice practitioners use healing centered community accountability practice for addressing identity-based harm and the communal witnessing of distant and proximal harm. They will be introduced to frameworks to help them understand and capture inflamed structural / inflamed historical harm.
Cost: $400*
*Tuition is free for all Black and Indigenous people who identify as Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, or Non-binary. Scholarships are also available.
