In a series of conversations in the pursuit of the mandates of truth, justice, healing and reconciliation for Indigenous and Black women, Black Women’s Blueprint and the North American Indigenous Center for Culture, Equity and Economic Empowerment are coming together for a powerful weekend of dialogue. Taking place virtually from April 26 11:00 AM ET to April 28th 5:00PM ET, the conversations seek to transparently explore strategies for a Black and Indigenous Truth and Reconciliation Commission that reckons with land theft, broken treaties and the colonization of Indigenous food systems, the theft of Black land and the enforced exploitation of Black physical, sexual and reproductive labor on U.S. land.
Cost: $55. The event will have ASL and Spanish interpretation, in addition to student discounts and group discounts. Scholarships are available as well! Reach out to the organizers at info@restoreny.org for more information.
