From Paradigm to Policy: Transforming Accountability and Public Safety with Restorative Justice

January 25 - January 26

The Vera Institute of Justice Reshaping Prosecution Collaborative Justice Network is hosting a two-day virtual symposium on restorative justice for criminal legal system stakeholders on January 25 and 26, 2024!

The first day is designed to explore the legal landscape and restorative justice by looking at what’s possible by implementing restorative justice to center the needs of victims, hold accountable those who have caused harm, and offer an alternative pathway to advance public safety. Invited panelists include movement leaders such as Danielle Sered (author of “Until We Reckon” and Executive Director of Common Justice), Seema Gajwani (special counsel for juvenile justice reform at D.C. Office of Attorney General leading their groundbreaking RJ work,) Alex Fields (a man who chose RJ after his brother’s murder), and many more.

The second day will feature immersive workshops for attorneys, judges, victim advocates, system decision-makers, and RJ practitioners from around the country to come together to share resources and strategies.

Space for the event is designed with intention, so be sure to register on their website ASAP! Please feel free to reach out with questions to Amy at ADallas@vera.org.
