Addressing Harm & Establishing Hope in our Current Educational Landscape – Part II

October 3, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$`10

NACRJ will host the second part of its three-part restorative community conversation series, Addressing Harm & Establishing Hope in our Current Educational Landscape.

This gathering will focus on acknowledging the harms experienced by students due to the pandemic and hold space for creating repair and support for students in our current educational landscape.

This student-led event will engage in discussion topics such as:

  • Holding space for checking in and sharing about the realities of this time.
  • Strategies for students by students for authentic connection and engagement.
  • How are students fostering restorative values (relationships, respect, responsibility, repair, reintegration, sharing of power, etc.) within their in-person and online school settings?
  • What kinds of support are students yearning for and what is needed for these supports to be met?

This event will be crafted with young people and students in mind however they also encourage adults (educators, parents, mentors, service providers, etc.) to attend. Those interested in attending do not have to have prior restorative justice/restorative practice experience and did not need to have attended part one, as each session is its own separate event.

This event is free for students under the age of 18 years. The fee for adults is $10.
