Rooted in Relationship: A Note from Veronica
Dear RJI community,
After over three years on the Restorative Justice Initiative team, I’m writing to share that I’ll be transitioning out of my role as Senior Communications Associate at the end of this month. This will be my last message to you in this capacity, but you will continue to receive messages from this list. It’s been a privilege to support RJI’s mission of cultivating restorative and transformative justice practices throughout New York City.
During my time, I’ve had the opportunity to:
- Develop and produce the Practitioner Spotlight, an original interview series, for which you can look forward to the last episode coming out in a few weeks;
- Grow our digital reach across platforms, particularly on LinkedIn and Instagram
- Design all graphics for social media as well as printed materials for all of our events, including the Citywide Roundtables, in addition to two benefits;
- Maintain our website with vital information and resources related to restorative justice in NYC;
- And curate content that reflects the breadth and complexity of this work.
I’m grateful to have collaborated with so many thoughtful colleagues, facilitators, and partners across the restorative justice and broader NYC network. I appreciate everyone who has engaged with our content, shared a note of appreciation, or partnered with us to make this work visible. Be sure to stay engaged with this work across platforms.
My hope for you is that you stay rooted to the relationships that nourish you amid these and future times.
Sincerely, with care,
Veronica
